The newest film to be shot in Baja California will be Disney's "The Chronicles Of Narnia: Voyage Of The Dawn Trader"
The Walt Disney Company will be filming a major motion picture at the site where "Titanic" and many other pictures were shot. The area was considered safe enough for Disney to bring their people down to Rosarito for an 18 month period, as over 1,000 actors and support staff will be living and working in our city and we know that the red carpet will be rolled out for their arrival. This will give a boost to the local economy and we will once again have Hollywood stars frequenting our local establishments.

One of the more interesting tour destinations in Baja California, located just an hour or less from San Diego, is Foxploration or Fox Studios Baja. This new movie theme park is three miles south of Rosarito Beach, and approximately 20 miles south of the U.S.-Mexico border.
You can’t miss seeing the large facility, with the tall crane and ship set props from the films Pearl Harbor, and Master and Commander, just off the free road between the Mexico 1-D toll road and the ocean. This modern, high technology film studio was built for water and ocean film productions, and more specifically to film the Twentieth Century-Fox Academy Award-winning blockbuster Titanic. The self-contained studio and production facility is located on 35-40 oceanfront acres overlooking the natural and undeveloped coast, with more than 2,000 feet of beachside frontage and unobstructed views.
An onsite food court offers hungry visitors an opportunity for lunch or snacks, and the famous Puerto Nuevo lobster village is just five minutes away.
The studios were built in 1996, at this unique location that provides easy access to the dynamic technical and artistic expertise of both the United States and Mexico, while providing a location convenient for tourists and visiting production companies alike.
